
STILL AT THE TOP OF THEIR GAME! SEARCH featuring Amy, Nasir, Hillary Ang and Man Kidal rocked Zepp Kuala Lumpur (Zepp KL) – Kuala Lumpurs’ newest international standard concert hall during KONSERT ENDEMIK, a historical event held for two nights on 4 and 5 June 2022, deemed to be one of SEARCH’s biggest concert to date. As the first artists to perform a solo concert at Zepp KL, as well as being amongst the first to showcase a large-scale concert during the endemic phase, SEARCH created monumental history through KONSERT ENDEMIK, a project that has been in the works since last year.
With a repertoire that includes SEARCH’s latest singles, Endemik I and Endemik II, as well as signature hits loved by SEARCH’s diehard fans whose loyalty have embedded SEARCH’s legendary status as rock n roll royalty in the country and the Southeast Asia region. Hits performed during the concert were Isabella, Fantasia Bulan Madu, Rozana, Meniti Titian Usang, Pawana and Isi Atau Kulit. SEARCH also featured songs that they rarely perform live such as Nigina and Diari Habil dan Qabil – to bring back bouts of nostalgia for the throng of fans filling up every corner of Zepp KL. The non-stop 2-hour concert have also solidified SEARCH’s undeniable status as Malaysia’s number one rock band.

Rizal Kamal, Head Executive Officer, LOL Asia (event organiser), said, “I believe that SEARCH’s status as Malaysia’s number one rock band paired with world-class facilities in Zepp KL and the strong workforce and support system involved behind the scenes are the main factors why KONSERT ENDEMIK have been the talk of the town and are reasons why tickets were sold out for both nights.”

“Featuring an exceptional line-up consisting of Malaysia’s rock music icons Amy, Nasir, Hillary and Man Kidal, SEARCH was also accompanied by expert musicians Genervie (keyboards) and Arthur Kam (drums) – known as Malaysia’s best sessionists. The sibling duo are sought-after by artistes from all across the globe due to their skills in music performance and direction. On the technical side, we have invited local and international experts such as Akira Yamauchi – a well-known sound engineer, to make sure that the sound quality of KONSERT ENDEMIK during both nights are at the highest level”.

Also recognised for their impeccable fashion sense, SEARCH have once again chosen Jiman Casablancas as the stylist for KONSERT ENDEMIK. Jiman shared, “Fashion is one of the elements that is important for Amy and his bandmates, and he is always aiming for a style that is more fashion-forward. I collaborated with Kit Woo and Wardrobe Privato to ensure that the looks created for each SEARCH band members as well as everyone performing on stage is visually in line with what SEARCH has envisioned. This is completed by SEARCH’s grooming team headed by Khir Khalid in collaboration with David Shaw, Jijie Zainal and Kasih Cicie.”
As SEARCH’s main vocalist, Amy concluded, “We are confident that our KONSERT ENDEMIK has set a benchmark for upcoming concerts held during the endemic phase in Malaysia and the region. InsyaAllah our KONSERT ENDEMIK will tour across Malaysia with the possibility of bringing it beyond our shores, to a global stage.
