Last week, Common Affairs attended the KOMMUTE KOMONO show – an astonishing evening with more than 150 selected guests. At the show that witnessed Timezone partnering with the radical minds of Topboi Citizen and Kit Woo, guests were treated to an experiential journey of a serious drip starring KOMONO’s latest watches & sunglasses collection, in partnership with RAFAA (Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp), Walter Van Beirendonck, Tom Eerebout and many more.

Backed by a community of dreamers and designers dedicated to perfectly timed accessories, and rooted in the Belgian tradition of fierce dedication to quality and craft, KOMONO is a lens on global fashion, crafted with care and delivered on time. KOMONO means “small things” and its members share a passion for distilling the best of culture into its simplest forms.

Ideated by two friends who met while snowboarding on a mountain and decided to do things differently, the duo consists of Raf Maes, the perfectionist; and Anton Janssens, the free spirit. Both share a rebellious youth, a history of building brands and an Antwerp heritage of uncompromising dedication to design and quality. Together, they have developed a community made up of fearless, unique personalities – whose sense of style is defined by their identity, not by a trend.
